As a first-year Resident Tutor, I am very excited to meet everybody!
A little about me : I was born and raised in the Bay Area but I have lived in various parts of the U.S. and Europe. I am a community-centered scientist passionate about the empowerment of disadvantaged people. As such, I have been involved in various aspects of community service, including teaching in California and volunteering in Chicago. At Currier, I will continue my outreach by being involved in race relations and first-generation student support.
A little about my professional interests : As a post-doctoral fellow at HMS/DFCI, I am passionate about applying data science for social good. To this end, I am involved with The Beat Academy at Harvard Innovation Lab. Our goal is to use a STEM-inspired approach to the arts. We work with school districts and under-resourced neighborhoods to unearth the raw talent in young people and early career music producers.
A little about my extracurricular interests: I am especially passionate about learning new cultures and the arts (e.g. music, dance, language, food etc).
You can find me in Gilbert 307–don’t hesitate to come by and say hi!
