My name is Alexis Gomez, and I’m your Currier House Peer Research Fellow!
Peer Research Fellows (PRFs) are trained to assist their undergraduate peers with convenient access to the Library’s unparalleled collections and expertise in support of research projects, extracurricular activities, and personal endeavors.
What does that mean? It means I can help you with research stuff! Can’t find a source, don’t know how to use the archives, need a book that’s already been checked out? – PRFs can help you solve all of your research dilemmas by introducing you to library resources and programs you might not even realize we have available to us.
Concentrating in Psychology with a secondary in History of Science, I found myself falling in love with the library here from day one. Through my role as your PRF, I hope to be able to make your lives slightly easier by helping you navigate the overwhelming resources the Library here offers.
I offer the following services:
- Weekly study breaks on Thursday nights from 7:30-8:30pm with candy and rotating library resource instruction topics.
- Office Hours by appointment for me to help you one-on-one with any question you have. Email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or find me in the dining hall or hallways to schedule a meeting.
- Workshops throughout the semester on a variety of research and library-use related topics.
- Maintaining a PRF website with really useful links and documents here to help you navigate library resources.
